On this page you will find the answers to the most popular Strong Healthy and Free FAQs.
Why did you start this website?
Every person has a purpose in this world. This blog represents my dharma. I always loved writing about health and helping people improve their lives. A lot of my friends and students used to come to me for health advice. This platform allows me to write about several subjects that can help them and at the same time I can reach thousands of others who are looking for the same information.
What is the content of this website?
This website is focused on helping people reach their goals, become stronger physically, mentally, spiritually and to live a life that is strong, healthy and free.
What do you mean by free? Is this a blog only for single people?
No, this blog has nothing to do with dating. On this website I refer to and talk about freedom as an integrated part of human existence. People today are enslaved to their passions, addictions and ideas of others and need to find their own in order to lead happier and more fulfilling lives.
How do you know all this? What kind of training do you have?
I hold certifications in Wellness Coaching, Holistic Life Coaching, Lifestyle and Weight Management, Sports Nutrition and many more. I am also a long time martial artist and yoga teacher.
Besides my official certifications, I have researched health and nutrition since mid-90s to overcome my personal health challenges. This led me to try almost every single diet, herb, exercise technique and supplement that is out there. All these, combined with my experience as an eclectic herbalist, have allowed me to acquire a variety of skills and a body of knowledge that I can use to help people meet their goals.
You seem to be a lot into supplements, do you work for a supplement company?
No I don’t work for supplement companies. Supps have been a great part of my life, have helped me in the past and are still doing it for me just as much as herbs.
Do you do online coaching/personal consultations?
Why can’t we see your face?
If you are worried about my face, I can assure you that I have all the required components in place (2 ears, 1 nose, 1 mouth, 3 eyes…). At this point of time, I personally do not believe that showing my face will benefit anyone’s health.
Unlike most ‘experts’ out there, I chose not to use my external appearance as a vehicle to attract people since I wanted them to focus on my words instead. Had I wanted to be more visible, I would have used a different platform (e.g. Youtube or Instagram). That being said, this is the current state and just like everything in life, things might change in the future. Stay tuned.
Are you a vegan?
Unfortunately I will disappoint a lot of people with my answer. My experience with vegan diets have been very negative. That being said I am a firm supporter of animal rights no matter. I also respect and accept people’s right to choice what they do in their lives as long as they stay respectful to myself and others.
Are you into paleo diets?
I am not a fan of strict paleo either. I have gone paleo many times in the past when I was doing no-carb diets. It does work but I hate having low energy levels and all this pent-up aggression in me. Plus it can become unhealthy after time as it puts stress on your body and soul. On top of that I do not believe in restricting food groups.
So what kind of nutrition do you follow?
My nutrition is simple: I listen to my body and give what is needed depending on how it looks and how I feel. I do respond better to high fat, high protein and low carb but it also depends on the season of year.
What is the worst diet?
Any type of diet that restricts food groups and focuses on one single nutrient or food such as the million-apple per day diet, the thousand bananas per day etc.
